The Galaxy Note 9 First Impressions
The Galaxy
Note 9 was announced yesterday, 9th of August and there’s a ginormous hype
about this smartphone... or should we call it a phablet? Anyways, I am really
excited to finally touch this device. Being a Samsung fanboy (and a technology
enthusiast) this is on my top 3 smartphones that I wanted to see unveiled this
year, right along the Pixel 3 XL and the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. But, I don’t want
to change the subject so let’s see what the company introduced yesterday.
Bear with
me and my enthusiasm. Make sure to like my facebook page at www.facebook.com/NTTNeedTheTech

The Note 8
was an amazing device, after the Note 7 disaster the company came back stronger
than ever and succeeded to create an almost perfect smartphone. The design of
this year’s Note is extremely similar to last year’s, the difference is on the fingerprint sensor on the
back that is now on the same place as the S9’s but keeping the camera system horizontal. On the front, there’s now a 6’4” Quad HD+ Super AMOLED
panel which, knowing Samsung, is probably one of if not the best in the market
right now. The device kept IP68
certification, stereo speakers, the Headphone Jack and the Bixby button for
that matter. Also, there’s still a slot
for expandable storage, this is where things start to get crazy… You can either
choose the base model: 128GB ROM and 6GB of RAM (I repeat: BASE MODEL) or choose the 512GB OF ROM AND 8GB OF RAM
version and buy a 512GB SD storage card which results in 1024GB of storage aka
1 freaking TERABYTE.

The
smartphone also carries the Snapdragon’s top
chipset, the 845 amongst a new water cooling system “designed to ensure
smooth and consistent performance during long gaming sessions. And what should
you game with this smartphone? Well, you
can choose 1 of 2 package options when you buy the device, whether you want Noise-cancelling AKG
headphones or Fortnite on your device. I would certainly choose the headphone
because AKG is an amazing company and Fortnite will still be available to other
Android users in 3 months… I have waited
so long for it already, I can obviously wait a bit more.
Powering
the device is a bigger 4000mAh battery cell with fast charging and fast
wireless charging to ensure that you can keep playing Fortnite for hours and hours…
Just some
final minor improvements to the phone are not minor at all. The S Pen has now Bluetooth
and a supercapacitor inside (a battery) which is charged just by being inside
the device. The company says you can charge 30 minutes of use in 40 seconds.
With the S Pen you can now press its
button for different functionalities, like taking a remote photo. With DeX you can turn your Samsung device into
a computer, well now you need dock no more only a small cable of it to be an
option, how cool is that?
